This 30 day public review starts on 19-Mar-2009 and ends 23-Apr-2009. Background: The proposed Validation Rules were submitted as 3 CRs by different submitters and are being reviewed together. The sub-team has been consolidating similar proposed rules, matching against existing rules, reworking the proposed rules texts and validating global vs. local contexts. This set of Price Validation Rules is the second in a series to be sent to the GDSN BRG for public review under the 3 CRs and ultimately eballot. Eventually all Validation Rules submitted in the 3 CRs will be processed. The posted Validation Rules have been motioned to progress to public review by the work group and the GDSN BRG without objection.   Public Review: GDSN BRG, WO 09-000059 The Public review for CR 09-059 begins 19-Mar-2009 and ends 23-Apr-2009 extended due to GS1 GSMP-JAG Joint Event in Los Angeles.  Proposal: CR 09-059 Proposal: Add the attached list of code values to the UOM code list. Expected Benefit: Provides values missing for certain dimensions and time duration attributes. In addition, provides values for a number of electrical energy attributes recently added for which no UOM values exist in the current UM code list. Risks: Lack of these code values can lead to inaccurate or inconsistent population of appropriate code values by trading partners throughout the network. Business Purpose: Provides data recipients with correct and consistent code values for the affected attributes for use within their legacy applications. This Public review contains a Link to CR 09-059 in the CR system, the attachment with the UOM  and the Business Requirement (See tab CR 09-059).   Public Review: GDSN Code List Simplification Work Group, WO 08-013, Code List Simplification BRAD Phase 1The GDSN Code List Simplification Work Group invites you to review their draft BRAD posted at the link below for public review. This 45 day public review starts on 19-Mar-2009 and closes on 27-Apr-2009. NOTE Please read the full document carefully, for example Appendix E shows which codes are proposed to be deprecated and their replacement code values. Background:  The GSMP GDSN Code List Improvement Work Group was charged with the task to reduce complexity & remove ambiguity when specifying various packaging configurations in all levels of a trade item hierarchy.  Specifically the work group was to eliminate confusion in the Pallet Type Code list, Packaging Type Code list, and Packaging Material Code list. Several users, data pools, and GS1 Member Organizations, submitted the codes being used, in their marketplace, for item packaging, pallet, and packaging material.  This and the current code lists became the starting point for the work group's effort. After the initial analysis of the current code values and the other attributes within the pallet and packaging sub-classes, the group concluded the only way to resolve the issue was to provide a definitive set of codes and attributes that together will serve the information needs of our diverse community. The various packaging levels and the associated materials are meant to work together to precisely relate the information for the item. It is envisioned each (Item Packaging, Material, and Pallet-Platform) will be defined as a reusable sub-class and will need to be evaluated as a whole during public review. The posted BRAD has been motioned to progress to public review by the work group on 9-Mar-2009.
