CR 09-048 Public Review, GDSN BRG

The Public review for CR 09-048 begins September-3-2009 and ends October-19-2009.  CR 09-048 is bundled with already-approved CR 09-039 (Trade Item Unit Descriptor revisions).
 
Proposal:  Recommendation for a clear and simple process to communicate which item level is "display ready".  The proposed attribute &quotisplay Type" would use a code list to communicate different display types:
•         RSD - Ready Shelf Display Unit
•         RFD - Ready Floor Display Unit
•         NSD - Non-Assembled Shelf Display unit
•         NFD - Non-Assembled Floor Display unit
•         UNS - Unspecified display

A full description of the rationale, the definitions of the codes, together with how it applies to a wide range of examples, the implications for usage of Trade Item Unit Descriptor, and a draft transition approach, are in the presentation document in the Public Review.  The document has two sections. The first one has been discussed and agreed to by the working subgroup; however the second one recommending implementation process has been put on hold until the solution is agreed.
 
NOTE: The GDSN BRG seeks feedback on the concepts in the document.  Further work on the solution design and on the transition plan will follow.  Both CRs have been raised to a Level Of Impact 3 to allow time to communicate and prepare for this change which would not go into GDSN until the next Major Release in 2012.

 The Public review for WO 09-134 begins September-3-2009 and ends October-3-2009. WO 09-134: eCom Maintenance Release 2. This CR is to process the Approved Business Requirements for the second eCom Maintenance Release.

WO 08-84, 08-103, 08-107, 08-126, 08-127 are all processed and included in BMS release version 2.6.0. The targeted messages are:
