Public Review: GDSN Trade Item Implementation Guide, CIC Response to CIN

The Trade Item Implementation Guide Work Group is presenting an update to one of its topics: "CIC Response to CIN". The original Trade Item Implementation Guide was delivered in January of 2007. The guide's objective is to supplement the formal GS1 GDSN standards with advice on their implementation and operation. It is in no way normative or definitive and is not a standard. It includes implementation guides for a variety of the more complicated issues. It seeks to increase consistency and ease of implementation by explaining the standards and providing real-world examples. This public review is only for the updated "CIC Response to CIN" topic. Once approved it will be replace the existing "CIC Response to CIN" section of the Trade Item Implementation Guide, which is located on the GS1 website at: http://www.gs1.org/services/gsmp/kc/gdsn/index.html .This document is posted for a public review on a motion of the Trade Item Implementation Guide Work Group until 02-Nov-2009.
