Call to Action Reminder: Objective/Scope of the GSMP Serial Number Replacement or Supply WG
A reminder to all of you who are interested in this group to please join. We need Solution Providers and Users to join this group. We intend now to have a kickoff conference call on December 3 at 9:00 am EST. The scope of this work group is to develop a comprehensive set of business requirements for how companies deal with the loss of a serialization on an instance of an item. This will include rules for how and when these "re-serializations" can occur and will be the basis for one or more technical solutions that may pertain to barcodes and RFID (note: the technical solution is NOT part of the scope of this group). Further, the group will take a starting point the requirements generated from the GSMP "Missing Identifier Resolution" Work Group.
