Call-For Participants

Fresh Foods Human Readable Interpretation Work Group
This is a request for representatives of all sectors to join the Fresh Foods Work Group Human Readable Interpretation Objective. Because human readable interpretation of bar coded or tagged data crosses all sectors, engagement by all sectors is welcomed during the Solutions phase. With this change, a consistent standardized and global approach to HRI marking can be implemented. This would ensure user and regulatory HRI needs are addressed, prevent regional divergences and promote a practical approach to HRI application.
The onboard kick off call will be conducted on 4th of March, 10:00 am - 11:30 am EDT . More details can be obtained in the Fresh Foods Work Group community room and Change Request 09-074: http://community.gs1.org/apps/org/workgroup/gsmpfreshfoods/ or please contact greg.rowe@gs1.org or melanie.kudela@gs1.org. to access or join the Community Room go to: http://community.gs1.org/join/    We look forward to your participation.

CR 10-027 Public Review, GDSN BRG
The Public Review for CR 10-027 begins Feb-18-2010 and ends Mar-4-2010. Proposal: move AVP attribute-"primaryDeliveryMethodType" to Core Trade Item. This is Trading Partner Specific. This fast track attribute is defined as "The code value that Indicates the primary method of delivery for the trade item".  It is optional and not repeatable.  Code values and their definitions are also provided.  Eric Note: we should look at using the DistributionMethodCodeList from Price Sync to populate these values. The following 3 values are also being considered for addition to the code list, unless they are deemed duplicates of values already contained in the list. If they are duplicates, the wording in the appropriate definitions should be revised to reference these terms: Warehouse, Warehouse and DSD, Drop Ship.

The Public Review for CR 10-036 begins Feb-18-2010 and ends Mar-4-2010. Proposal: The users need the ability to capture the contents of the shipping container as described on the outside of the shipping container.  This would be expressed as a text field. This attribute would be recursive, Target Market specific, and expressed at the shipping levels of the hierarchy as is applicable to that level.  Due to the length of time until the next release, we ask for these to be placed in the fast track system for immediate use.
