Public Review on Human Readable Interpretation (HRI) Rules, WO# 09-000174

Over the past 4 months, the Joint HRI Work Group (made up of members from the multiple industry sectors, retailers, industry associations and GS1 Member Organisations) has worked to consolidate current HRI Rules in the GS1 General Specifications, update current HRI Rules, and introduce new HRI Rules (e.g., trade items scanned at POS encoding GTIN-12 and -13 plus attribute data).  The HRI GSCN consolidates and updates all current (Gen Spec) human readable interpretation of bar coded or tagged data that crosses all sectors, while introducing new HRI Rules for variable measure products scanned at POS using GTIN-12 and -13 and attribute data, which has not been available before.
Also enclosed in the packet is a cover letter outlining the work and the impact of your input to the GSCN HRI.

GDSN Implementation Guide: Minimum and Maximum Values 

This Public review begins on 17 June 2010 and ends on 15 July 2010. The GDSN Trade Item Implementation Guide Work Group is presenting a new topic to be included in the GDSN Trade Item Implementation Guide: Minimum and Maximum Values.  The original Trade Item Implementation Guide was delivered in January of 2007. The guide's objective is to supplement the formal GS1 GDSN standards with advice on their implementation and operation. It is in no way normative or definitive and is not a standard. It includes implementation guides for a variety of the more complicated issues. This public review is only for the new Minimum and Maximum topic. Once approved it will be placed into the GDSN Trade Item Implementation Guide, which is located on the GS1 website. This document is posted for a public review on a motion of the Trade Item Implementation Guide Work Group. Please make your comments by 4 PM ET, 15 July 2010.

The Blood Derivatives Work Group presents the Bar Coding Plasma Derivatives Implementation Guide for public review. Background: This implementation guide will provide guidance for the AIDC marking of plasma derivatives which will provide efficiencies in the healthcare supply chain and improvements in patient safety. The public review OPENS on Thursday, 17 June 2010 and CLOSES on Friday, 16 July 2010.
