10-155 Public Review, GDSN BRG
The 14 day Public Review for CR 10-155 begins May-27-2010 and ends June-11-2010. CR 10-155 Proposal: 05-May-2010: Expand the 'GDSN Regulatory Compliance Extension' to make it possible from an information provider to use it to communicate multiple acts and agencies of which multiple permit numbers could also be communicated. The current model does not support cases where products comply to different regulatory acts given by different organisations. This change is already scheduled to be solved by the next major release of GDSN; this change request is submitted to ensure this necessary upgrade gets considered sooner, for the next maintenance release. This Public review contains a link to CR 10-155 in the CR system, and the Business Requirement Spreadsheet. Please make your comments 3:30 PM ET on June-11-2010 Close of Public Review - Simple Level of Impact 3.

CR 10-113 Public Review, GDSN BRG
The Public Review for CR 10-113 begins May-20-2010 and ends June-4-2010, extended due to a USA Holiday. Proposal: Add "USDA - U.S. Department of Agriculture" to the GDSN Organic Claim Agency list and the Package Marks Environment Code List. This addition will allow products qualified and/or labeled with the USDA organic certification mark to be identified as such in the GDSN. Adding the value will decrease the current risk that the organic certification of products published in the GDSN is not being accurately described. US legislation, The Organic Foods Production Act of 1990, authorizes the US Department of Agriculture to certify as organic food and fiber products that meet the requirements of this Act and implementing regulations.
